The 3M Secure Click Gas & Vapor Cartridges, D8000 Series, feature an innovative Secure Click connection that ensures proper installation for wearers. By aligning the connections on the facepiece and cartridge and pushing until a click is heard, users can have confidence that the cartridges are securely attached.

In addition to the secure connection, the Secure Click cartridges are designed with dual-flow technology, allowing for easy breathing. Each respirator is equipped with two dual-flow cartridges, creating a unique quad-flow cartridge system. This system provides four airflow paths, resulting in excellent breathability and comfort.

The 3M Secure Click Gas & Vapor Cartridges, D8000 Series, are NIOSH-approved and can be used with 3M Secure Click Facepieces to provide respiratory protection against a range of hazards. The specific hazards depend on the model selected. For a comprehensive list of chemicals for which these cartridges can be used, please refer to the 3M Respirator Selection Guide.

It is important to note that Secure Click cartridges should not be used in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH), sandblasting operations, or environments that contain particulates. However, if combined with D7N11 or D7P71 replaceable particulate filters and 3M D701 Filter Retainers, they can be used in environments with particulates.

To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to change Secure Click cartridges according to a well-documented change-out schedule. However, if there is a noticeable smell, taste, or irritation from contaminants, the cartridges should be replaced earlier. 3M offers a free online tool, the 3M Select and Service Life Software, to assist in selecting the appropriate respirators, cartridges, and filters for workplace respiratory hazards.
